The word ‘SHUBANGANI’ comes from the Sanskrit word which means ‘one who brings happiness’, and is strongly associated with why we decided to build Shubangani: to honour our love, passion and happiness that we so strongly feel towards traditional wear.

Our Founder, Yasoda is a highly accomplished individual who has achieved success in both her education and career. She holds a degree in engineering and has developed her skills as a software developer. Furthermore, she is an entrepreneur who has taken the initiative to start her own business. In addition, she has a passion for learning and is constantly seeking out new knowledge and skills to enhance her capabilities. She is driven, ambitious, and passionate about her work and is always looking for ways to improve and grow.
